ARTIST BIO
Carolyn Radke, originally from Overland Park, Kansas, began her formal ballet training with the Kansas City Ballet School and the Kansas City Youth Ballet under the direction of Kimberly Cowen and Grace Holmes. As a student she performed with the Kansas City Ballet in their production of Todd Bolender’s The Nutcracker. Carolyn had the opportunity to perform many contemporary and classical ballets with the pre-professional company, most notably a featured role in La Bayadère. Carolyn continued her training at Mercyhurst University under the direction of Tauna Hunter and received her B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Psychology. As a member of The Mercyhurst Dancers, she performed modern, contemporary, and classical works, including George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. Carolyn received substantial academic scholarship, was on the Dean’s List, served as President of Dance Outreach for the Mercyhurst Dance Department, and was a member of the departmental Leadership Team. Carolyn aspires to dance professionally and eventually attend graduate school in psychology.
